London, UK: Today, AID:Tech, the creators of the world’s first distributed ledger software platform for Governments and NGO’s, have been shortlisted as a nominee in the ‘Best Humanitarian Tech Startup’ for The Europas European Tech Startup Awards. This year’s awards ceremony will be held in London on Tuesday 14th June.

The Europas has become one of the highlights of the European Tech awards calendar. Over 1,000 of Europe’s key movers and shakers in tech — hand picked and closely curated — will be attending the daytime conference and evening awards ceremony. Instead of a massive anonymous “congress”, the majority of The Europas delegates are invited key players and experts, keeping the numbers low and the networking high quality.

Of the company’s third award nomination in a week, AID:Tech CEO Joseph Thompson said,

“We are ecstatic about being shortlisted for The Europas. It is definitely one of the most prestigious awards that a European startup can win, and I look forward to meeting some of the handpicked delegates.”

AID:Tech Chief Digital Officer Niall Dennehy also added:

“The very fact that The Europas has a ‘Best Humanitarian Tech Startup’ category speaks volumes. We believe this sector has been technologically underserved to date, but we are on a mission to change this. We are delighted to see that The Europas share our vision”
